Guidance Services
UCE-Tanzania
through their professional counselor provide professional guidance to youth
that aiming to assisting youth in making and carrying out adequate plans and
achieving satisfactory adjustment in life.
The Guidance Service in
UCE-Tanzania intended to:
- Equip youth with knowledge and techniques that will enable them to identify and find ways of anticipating and solving problems.
- Leading the youth to the achievement of desired life goals.
- Assisting youth in deciding where they want to go, what they want to do, how to get to their destination and how to solve problems arising in their lives.
- Assisting youth to understand, accept and utilize their aptitude, interest and attitude patterns in relation to their aspiration.
Areas of Guidance in UCE-Tanzania

dedicated in providing guidance to youth in the following areas:

Education:
Students
often face a number of challenges in their pursuit their education. They to
make wise choice in curricular activities, acquire basic study skills for
optimum academic achievement. Students guided so as to develop good study habit
as well as prepare and gain enough confidence to sit and write examinations.
Also special guidance is given at crisis points, for example if a student has
difficulty in following certain subjects, lacks of concentration or consistency
gets poor grades. The students also are helped to explore educational
possibilities beyond the present educational level. This included courses and
careers, scholarship and competitive entrance examination.

Vocation:
Every vacation require certain educational and professional qualifications and
preparation, hence the need for guidance in the choice of a vocation. Students
are guided in choosing vocation that is constituent with their strengths and
limitation. We are helping youth in the selection of and preparation for an
occupation through the relevant course and programmes.

Moral:
Youth face many morally challenging situation at home, in school, and as they
interact within their peer groups. They may end up telling lies, trying to
escape responsibility and indulging in anti-social (immoral) acts. Therefore
within UCE guidance is provided to help them uphold morality in all situations
they face.
